Limit on Overclocking AMD 965 X4 (3.4 Ghz)

Hi all!!!

I want to overclock my CPU. I have good cooling Corsair A50 keeps it at about 34 DegC.

I am using AMD Overdive (I think I know what I am doing with it).

But I, obviously, don't want to fry my chip.

So what speeds are doable and what would be silly?

I know it's a muddy subject if you aren't with the machine itself.

Say I went to 4.00 GHz... would I be insane? Even the temps stayed low?

Hey man,
With my H100 water I was able to get 4.0-4.2 all day long. You should have no problems simply adding the multiplier and netting 3.9-4.1 but watch your temps and stability. Don't use AMD overdrive but learn your BIOS settings and find the CPU multiplier option.
