Re: possible to connect a USB external hard drive to an Andr

Already ordered a Samsung 16GB Class 10 Micro SDHC High Speed Memory Card with SD Adapter from Amazon.

Also getting quite a collection of various USB gizmos now haha. I do wish computer manufacturers would make their mind up about which way up their ports should be! Grrr!

Re: Is laptop clusterring possible?

If these laptops had a craylink, you might be able to create a laptop that was twice as powerful.

Re: Finding any Linux to run on my laptop?

I STILL am running 8.04 on an AMD 64 (desktop however), and have less problems with it, than 10.04, and 12.04, ON THE SAME MACHINE. I have no intentions right now of deleting that install. Some parts of 'x' distro do get better with each new release. But the problems, when they arise, seem MORE UN-s...

Re: can ubuntu's update manager be hacked?

OlRoy, your link to 'linux update problems' was worth reading but like you say, needs updating since it was posted in 2008. and 273, I apologize for not mentioning in my original post what I had done to find an answer before resorting to this forum. I had just read the suggestions for asking good qu...

Re: High-End Phone + Open Source OS?

I would also avoid the RAZR MAXX completely if I understand your goal, Motorola's recent devices are notoriously difficult to replace the firmware on, and there is very little development for them compared to other devices. If you get a RAZR MAXX, you are absolutely going to be running the stock Mot...

Re: What phones can run GNU/Linux?

I'd recommend a Google Galaxy Nexus (https :// play.google .com/store/devices/details?id=galaxy_nexus_hspa). It's only $350 if price is important to you, yet is still a high-end smartphone. It has a huge community, which will support it for years, just like the original Android phone, the HTC G1 is ...

Re: Sony Vaio and Linux

Mine is the SVE15xxxx Enhanced E series; Would that make any difference? make any difference to what? To whether you should try and install the Linux OS that you want to use? no. I'm not an expert on VAIO's, but I have pulled apart a few of them and there is nothing unique about them from any other...

Re: MySQL Cannot start SSH tunnel manager??

Hello,

How are you opening a connection? From MySQL console, MySQL WorkBench, another MySQL client? Are you connecting on the same host to localhost or from a remote client to this server? Did you check the options you pointed out?

Is there a way to run games installed on another computer?

I was just wondering if there is any way to use my laptop to play the games I have installed on my desktop? Like the game is running on the desktop but I see the video and I control it from my laptop? Would I have to install a server program on the desktop, I was thinking of having a set up somethin...
